See All NewsWilson District is the second neighbourhood in development at YZD – a walkable, transit-connected community shaped by the Downsview Secondary Plan and YZD’s guiding vision.
Planning began in late 2024 and focuses on the careful design of:
- A complete street network – safe, accessible, and designed for walking, cycling, and transit
- New housing and mixed-use buildings – designed to meet a range of needs
- Vibrant parks and public spaces – programmed for gathering, wellness, and play
A draft plan will be submitted to the City of Toronto in early 2026. Your input is key to shaping an inclusive, sustainable future for the Wilson District.
In the meantime, YZD is bringing the site to life with early programming – featuring pop-up events, public art, and cultural experiences that offer a preview of what’s to come.
