Honouring Indigenous History

These lands are part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, signatories of Treaty 13 and Host First Nation to YZD. For thousands of years, it has been the Traditional Territory of many First Nations, including the Huron-Wendat and the Haudenosaunee peoples. We are committed to the wise stewardship of these lands and to meaningful engagement and partnership with Indigenous Peoples, as we strive to shape communities welcoming to all.

A Phased Approach

Rooted in YZD’s legacy of aerospace innovation, The Hangar District marks the first chapter in the site’s transformation. Historic hangars will be thoughtfully repurposed, setting the tone for a neighbourhood defined by purpose and possibility.

Located at the south end of the reimagined Runway, this future neighbourhood will deliver thousands of new homes and jobs, alongside parks, community spaces, and essential services. With direct access to Wilson Station, it will become a vital hub of daily life—and a key connector within the broader YZD network.

Paid general public parking is available at 30 Hanover Road. Parking for guests of the YZD Experience Centre is complimentary at 34 Hanover Road.
